About the Trip.com affiliate program
Trip.com runs on CJ Affiliate (advertiser 4368684) with a rate card that varies sharply by product: 5.50% on hotel bookings, 5.00% on tours and activities, airport transfers and car rental, 4.00% on cruises, 2.50% on tickets and bundles, 2.00% on trains, 1.00% on flights and a flat $0.50 per order on China domestic flights. Every action carries the same 30-day referral period, unlimited occurrences and open-ended locking. What sets this programme apart is not the rate but the policy list. Incentivised traffic, email, software, sub-affiliates and social media are all explicitly allowed — a combination we have not seen on any other travel programme, most of which prohibit at least two of those outright. The restrictions are narrow by comparison: no bidding on Ctrip or Trip.com trademarks, no use of those domains in display URLs, and a warning that unauthorised use of public or leaked coupon codes can result in commission forfeiture. For a publisher whose traffic mix would disqualify them from Booking.com or Priceline, this is the obvious alternative.
