Rightstune
Music publishing administration SaaS, paying 25% of collected admin fees recurring, with a two-level sub-affiliate override on top.
About the Rightstune affiliate program
Rightstune is a music publishing administration service: it collects royalties for songwriters and rights holders and charges a publishing-admin fee on what it administers. Its affiliate program, confirmed directly against its own terms, pays 25% of that admin fee, recurring, for a client who signs up through an affiliate's direct link — not a share of the client's gross royalties. A two-level sub-affiliate structure sits on top: 5% to a partner who invited the referring affiliate, and 2.5% to that partner's own recruiter, both calculated the same way and both explicitly tied to real client fees rather than paid out for recruitment itself. Attribution runs on a 90-day cookie (separate cookies for direct links vs. partner-invite links), last-click. Commission follows the same monthly cycle as client royalty statements and pays via PayPal; Rightstune can withhold or claw back commission for refunds, clawed-back royalties, fraud or terms violations. No minimum payout threshold is published.
Pros and cons
- ✓25% of the publishing-admin fee on royalties collected, recurring for the life of the client relationship — not a one-time bounty
- ✓Clean sub-affiliate structure: 5% override and 2.5% master tier only pay when those referred partners' own clients generate fees, with no payment for recruitment alone
- ✓90-day cookie, last-click, confirmed on the program's own terms page
- ✓Monthly payout on PayPal, synced to the same cycle as client royalty statements
- –Commission is a share of Rightstune's admin fee, not the client's gross royalties — a meaningfully smaller base than it might first sound
- –No minimum payout threshold stated
- –Rightstune can set different rates per affiliate or client at its discretion, so the published 25%/5%/2.5% are defaults, not guarantees
- –Niche B2B audience (songwriters and rights holders), not a mass-market product

Rightstune runs its own affiliate program. Look for an "Affiliates" or "Partners" link in the footer of their website. We list program details for reference and don’t link out — always confirm the current terms with the program itself.
